Year of growth for concrete repair firms

CONCRETE repair specialists enjoyed a bumper year in 2005 with contract values up 19 per cent on the previous year's figures.

Latest industry statistics, compiled by sector body the Concrete Repair Association, indicated that contractors had seen the contract sales values during the first six months of 2005 spiral to £127 million.

But contractors were split down the middle over whether the boom in workload would continue into the New Year.

Half of the association's members expected workloads to remain static or continue to climb and the remaining 50 per cent anticipated a drop off in business rates over the next 12 months.
