Interserve bags contracts worth £700m

Interserve delivered an upbeat trading statement to the Stock Exchange today as it highlighted £700 million of new contract wins during the first six months of the year.
Recent deals include a £60 million facilities management deal with Croydon council and a Prime Contract for the ministry of Defence in Cyprus.

The raft of new contract wins and booming orders in the Middle East offset a weaker then expected performance in the Industrial Services division.

Interserve is also finalising its plans to integrate FM specialist MacLellan which it bought in May for £118 million.

Interim results from Interserve are due on September 4.
