Jackson, Kier and Wates make top lot for £500m Suffolk framework

Suffolk County Council has awarded places on the top lot of its £500 million property construction framework to four contractors.

Barnes Construction, ISG Jackson, Kier Eastern and Wates were selected to carry out building works worth between £1m and £10m.

Brooks and Wood, Cocksedge Building Contractors, O Seaman & Son and S E H French were selected for smaller jobs worth between £150,000 and £1m.

The traditional design and build work covers the council’s diverse property portfolio, including offices, schools, residential, care homes, fire stations, libraries and community centres.

The council estimates anywhere between £10m and £500m of work will be procured through the framework.
