Kier poaches Miller Scotland construction boss

Exclusive: Kier has poached Miller Construction Scottish managing director Brian McQuade to lead its Scottish operations.

Mr McQuade had been with Miller Construction, Scotland, for almost nine years.

He has become managing director at Kier Scotland. Kier has offices in Glasgow and Edinburgh.

Mr McQuade joined Miller in 2004 and was appointed joint managing director in 2007, prior to becoming managing director, Scotland in 2010.  He has a BSC in Quantity Surveying and is also a member of the RICS.

Miller construction chief executive Chris Webster told CN in June that his firm will continue to hire after a making string of high profile appointments.

Miller is currently working on the £2m Robert Gordon University sub contractors business school and a £4.4m project at the Glasgow Fort shopping centre for British Land.
