Lovell wins £103m Barnet refurb contract

Morgan Sindall’s affordable housing division Lovell has been awarded a 10 year contract worth £103 million by Barnet Homes.

The contract includes planned refurbishment and electrical works across 15,000 Barnet Homes, managed on behalf of Barnet Council.

Work will begin in April 2012.

Barnet Homes previously worked with failed contractor Connaught.

Morgan Sindall subsequently secured a deal for most of Connaught’s contracts.

Chief executive Paul Smith said:  “This is another important win for Lovell which builds on the response maintenance work we acquired as part of the acquisition from the administrators of Connaught.

“Today’s announcement underlines our leading position in affordable housing. Lovell’s full service offering will mean we can deliver the highest quality upgrade and response maintenance work to the Barnet Council housing stock.”
