Manchester university offers £200m campus job

The University of Manchester is looking for a project manager to deliver management services for the development of the Manchester Engineering Campus Development.

The job covers the relocation of academic accommodation for the faculty of engineering and physical sciences from the north campus to a new site on the south campus.

The university says the job may involve demolition, enabling works, new build, refurbishment, heritage refurbishment and fit-out. The job will also involve staff relocation and major equipment moves.

The estimated value of the contract is £200m. A minimum of five operators will be invited to tender.

The contract is planned to commence in June 2013 with a completion date in autumn 2018.

Time limit for receipts of tender or requests to participate is 3 June 2013. Register with the university’s In-Tend system to express an interest.
