Baghdad to spend $100m on road and bridge repairs

The Baghdad Mayoralty has signed ID115bn ($99m) of contracts to repair roads and bridges around the Iraq capital.

The mayoralty has not named the companies that will carry out the work, but it says the projects will make a valuable contribution to easing traffic congestion around the city.
