Apollo scoops £40m in school deals

Apollo has been awarded £40 million worth of Building Schools for the Future contracts by the London Borough of Haringey.

The contractor will deliver four new and refurbished schools for Haringey, including the £22.3 million Woodside Learning Campus. 

The three other schools included in the appointment are Northumberland Park Community School, John Loughborough School and Hornsey School for Girls. 

Apollo Education divisional director Marcel Hendricks said: “This is great result for Apollo. It will ensure we remain at the forefront of the BSF programme as it gains momentum.

“Winning the contract is a positive reflection on our expertise in the construction of transformational learning environments and in the adaption, refurbishment and renewal of existing facilities helped us secure the contract.”

Apollo employs 890 people and has an annual turnover of about £300 million.
