Northampton University proposes £330m campus

Northampton University is applying for planning permission to build a £330m campus.

The plans will be submitted to Northampton Borough Council today. The campus will include teaching and residential accommodation.

Northampton Borough Council leader David Mackintosh said: “This outline planning application is a major step forward for the project. If approved, it will pave the way for the University of Northampton to relocate to the heart of our business district.”

A public consultation will take place if the application is successful.
