Transform closes Wigan and Salford BSF deal

Transform Learning Partnership has reached financial close on the first phase of the £400 million Wigan and Salford Building Schools for the Future contract.

The consortium, which includes contractors Laing O’Rourke and Hochtief, will now redevelop six schools in the north-west under the deal.

According to CN’s sister title Infrastructure Journal, NordLB and Nationwide will each contribute £35 million in senior debt to the project.

TLP will eventually design, build and refurbish more than 20 schools across the two councils.
