Willmott Dixon bags £71m Oldham academies deal

Willmott Dixon has won a £71 million deal to deliver three academies for Oldham Council.

The contractor will build the Oasis Academy at Brook Mill, the Waterhead Academy at Orb Mill and the Oldham Academy North.

Construction of the Oasis Academy will start in September 2010 and is due to complete in July 2012. It will replace the existing South Chadderton and Kaskenmoor schools.

Willmott Dixon saw off competition from Carillion at the final stage of procurement.
