Willmott Dixon wins £21m Kent academy job

Willmott Dixon has scooped a £21 million academy job in Kent.

The contractor is understood to have beaten Bovis Lend Lease to be named preferred bidder for the Skinners’ Kent Academy in Tunbridge Wells.

Construction is set to begin early next year and be completed late 2012.

Jonathan Payne, deputy managing director for Willmott Dixon in the Eastern Home Counties, said: “Both Kent County Council and the academy have set some challenging targets and we have the commitment and dedication to ensure the new buildings will be a source of pride for both The Skinners’ Kent Academy and the community of Tunbridge Wells.”
