Willmott Dixon wins £55m Kettering academies deal

Willmott Dixon has won a £55 million deal to design and build two academies in Kettering.

The contractor was named preferred bidder for the Kettering Science Academy and the Kettering Buccleuch Academy by Northamptonshire County Council.

Work is due to start on site in September 2010, with the buildings scheduled for occupation in September 2012.

The win comes after Willmott Dixon bagged a £71 mililon deal earlier this week to deliver three academies for Oldham Council.

Peter Owen, managing director of Willmott Dixon Midlands, said: “We are delighted to have been selected to construct these prestigious new academies in Kettering.”
