GB Building Solutions wins sixth St Andrew's hospital job

GB Building Solutions has been awarded its sixth hospital job by St Andrew’s Healthcare in the past four years now totalling more than £76 million.

The latest contract is worth £2.4 million for the design and construction of a new extension at a private acute medical surgical hospital in Northampton, known as the Three Shires Hospital.

The hospital is owned by St Andrew’s Healthcare, a leading mental health charity, and run by the BMI group, the country’s largest private hospital group.

The new extension will create a number of new facilities accommodating MRI scanning, operations, chemotherapy and physiotherapy amongst others.

Refurbishment works will include new and improved outpatients’ entrances to the existing building. GB Building Solutions will ensure that the hospital will remain fully operational throughout the works.

GB Building Solutions is also currently working on a £46 million residential mental health facility for St Andrew’s, which is the largest building of its type to be built by them since their opening in the 1830’s.
