Ryhurst bags Lancashire mental health deal

Ryhurst has secured a deal to design, build, finance and operate facilities for a mental health trust in the North-west.

The contractor was named as preferred bidder to become the long-term estates partner for Lancashire Care NHS Foundation Trust.

As well as working on new facilities, Ryhurst will lead the day-to-day running of the trust’s estate and non-clinical support services.

Ryhurst managing director David Hay said: “At a time when NHS trusts are facing revenue savings targets of around 20 per cent over the next five years, through the creation of a joint venture partnership, LCFT and Ryhurst will work together to ensure the trust has the quality of estates and facilities services and buildings it needs to deliver its clinical service strategy.”
