Contractors wanted for £100m housing framework

Islington council is inviting expressions of interest from contractors for its four-year housing framework worth up to £100m.

The council intends to deliver around 400 new affordable council homes from 2014 to 2018.

Some work delivered through the framework could also extend to non-residential schemes, including community centres and commercial units.

The four-year £100m framework is divided into four lots with the smallest for schemes worth up to £2m and the largest for projects worth over £10m.

Islington council’s current new build contractors framework expires in January 2014, and it expects the new framework to be in place by early 2014.

A total of 16 contractors will be appointed to the framework and no more than 30 will be invited to tender.

The deadline for expressions of interest is 22 July 2013. Pre-qualification questionnaires must be submitted by 23 July 2013.

To express an interest, register via the London tenders portal.
