Keepmoat wins £18m City of Edinburgh Council North Sighthill housing project

Keepmoat has landed an £18m contract with the City of Edinburgh Council to build more than 300 homes in the city.

The contractor will provide mixed-tenure housing sites in the North Sighthill area of Edinburgh.

Roads and public and commercial spaces will also be built under the deal.

The development is part of the council’s wider 21st Century Homes programme to build 1,300 affordable homes over a 10-year period.

The development value of the project is £36m.

City of Edinburgh Council is also regenerating the Pennywell and Muirhouse area of the city and appointed Willmott Dixon to deliver 160 homes in the area last month.

The contract is worth £25.9m, £23.9m of which will be contracted through Scape’s national framework, the rest going out directly through the council.

Willmott Dixon will subcontract all work to Robertson, which delivers Willmott Dixon’s Scotland-based framework projects.
