Lovell in £1.9m Norwich housing win

Lovell has won a £1.9 million contract from the Saffron Housing Trust to build 18 new homes for affordable rent in Hellesdon, Norwich.

The new homes will be created on the site of Ethel Tipple Court, a former respite care home, in partnership with Norfolk County Council and Broadland District Council.

The homes – nine two- and three-bedroom houses, one three-bedroom bungalow and eight one-bedroom flats – are being built to Level 3 of the Code for Sustainable Homes, and the flats have been specially designed to accommodate disabled residents.

Work on the project begins later this month and is expected to be completed in February 2010.
