Lovell signs deal for £40m Skipton development

Lovell has signed a deal with Maple Grove Developments and Craven District Council to develop a £40 million scheme in North Yorkshire.

Affordable housing specialist Lovell will provide £30m of houses for the Skipton scheme, which will also include shops and restaurants.

Lovell plans to build 60 stone-based family houses and apartments at the site of existing council offices in Granville Street. Thirty-six of the homes will be for open market sale with 24 available for affordable rent and shared ownership.

In addition, Lovell proposes to create in the region of 160 properties for affordable rent, shared ownership and open market sale on land off Horse Close, about a mile from the town centre.
