Lovell wins £9.6m refurb work in Liverpool

Lovell has been awarded £9.6 million of housing refurbishment work in Liverpool.

The company is set to carry out a £6.2 million housing modernisation scheme for Liverpool Mutual Homes. It is also undertaking a £3.4 million housing modernisation programme in Liverpool for Cobalt Housing.

Lovell will install new bathrooms and kitchens at 1,000 homes in the Dingle, Hunts Cross and Halewood areas of Liverpool for housing association Liverpool Mutual Homes.

The work is part of a £400 million housing improvement programme by Liverpool Mutual Homes which manages over 15,000 homes in the city and is expected to be complete in April 2010.

In a separate contract, Lovell has been appointed to carry out modernisation work worth £3.4 million to bathrooms at 1,350 homes managed by Cobalt Housing on the Sparrowhall, Gems and Formosa estates in the Croxteth area of the city. The work is also set to finish in April 2010.
