Housing association partners with Development Securities for £150m regeneration

London housing association L&Q has joined forces with property investor and developer Development Securities to deliver a £150m mixed-use regeneration scheme in North London.

The new residential quarter at 399 Edgware Road will include 183 flats and townhouses for private sale.

The development is part of a wider regeneration programme in the area, including a new supermarket, cafes, shops and restaurants as well as a primary school with a nursery.

The supermarket and retail units are under construction and are expected to be complete in September 2015.

The residential units are expected to start on site in the Summer of 2015.

L&Q group director of development and sales Jerome Geoghegan said: “This agreement will help create a vibrant new quarter in North West London, bringing together an exciting mix of new retail, community and educational facilities with the additional homes that London so desperately requires.”

Matthew Weiner from Development Securities PLC said the development will “revitalise a currently derelict piece of land” and open up the site to the public.
