Mansell to launch solar division

Mansell has announced it will launch a new renewables division focusing on design, funding, installation and maintenance of solar panels.

The Balfour Beatty subsidiary will launch Mansell Renewables next week at the Chartered Institute of Housing conference in Harrowgate for clients to take advantage of feed-in tariffs.

Affordable housing director Marcus Keys said: “Our customers are increasingly asking for added value from their construction partners. Mansell Renewables allows us to offer an enhanced service, utilising the benefits of the FITs as well as the Renewable Heat Incentive and Green Deal initiatives.

“This represents an exciting new opportunity for Mansell in line with our growth strategy and aspirations for the housing business as a whole.”

The firm hopes to present the renewables solution to clients as an alternative to direct procurement and receipt of the FIT by the landlord.

Mansell has ensured its design and installation teams are accredited under the Microgeneration Certification Scheme.
