Rydon bags £22m in housing jobs

Rydon has reported a string of housing wins, including four new-build projects across London and the South-east.

The new projects include a £9.5m scheme for Town & Country Housing Group in Gravesend, Kent, providing 82 mixed-tenure homes on a 1.1 hectare brownfield site.

In London, London & Quadrant has selected Rydon for a £5m 44-home project on a derelict site near Beckenham High Street, building across three four-storey blocks.

AmicusHorizon has also chosen Rydon for two projects through the South-east Consortium Framework, worth a combined £7.8m.

One scheme will see 51 extra care apartments built in Sittingbourne, Kent, while the other is for 15 new homes near the town centre.

Rydon managing director Mark Mitchener said: “The reputation for our housing and development capabilities remains high across London and the South-east.

“We now have the opportunity to reinforce that message with our appointment to a number of strategically important frameworks and by delivering much-needed housing projects for our partners and the communities we work in.”

Other recent framework wins for Rydon include appointments by Notting Hill Housing Trust, Network Housing Group, Catalyst and A2Dominion’s new build schemes.
