Bids invited for £95m Lincoln bypass

Lincolnshire county council has invited expressions of interest for its £95m Lincoln Eastern Bypass scheme.

The LEB is a proposed 8km single carriage relief road linking the A15 of Sleaford Road at the south of Lincoln to the A158 Wragby Road at the north of the city.

Work will involve construction, foundation and surface works for the bypass and work on pipelines, communication and power lines over five years.

Details of the scheme can be found online. To express interest in the project and receive a copy of the market testing questionnaire, email Procurement.Lincolnshire@lincolnshire.gov.uk.

The Treasury has agreed to provide £50m of funding to support the cost of the project. Lincolnshire county council will contribute £13.6m and £32m is being contributed by third party developers.
