The Bond Group has acquired Coolfast, a UK manufacturer and distributor of refrigerated display cabinets for retail stores, for an undisclosed sum.
The deal, which sales and marketing director Phil Proudman told RAC is a “perfect fit” for The Bond Group, was concluded on Friday 24 July.
“It will help with the refurbishment side of the business,” he said. “We also have our new cabinets side in mind to sit alongside what we already offer, which, in future, will add to the core refurbishment activity.”
Telford-based Coolfast was established in 2001 as a joint venture between an Italian manufacturer and UK employees to establish import sales in the UK. In 2008 it was bought by its management and two new investors.

It is based at Sheerness in Kent and also has branches in Stoke, Swindon and Falkirk . The Bond Group currently has over 200 employees. In addition to its refurbishment business, Bond also offers these new cabinets, many of which enjoy ECA status.
