Building Services World Cup – it's time for kick off

Eight teams to compete in inagural Building Services World Cup 2009

The draw for the Building Services World Cup 2009 has revealed eight teams eager to take part in the inagural tournament.

The draw, which took place on Wednesday 17 June at Anfield, home of Liverpool FC, saw the event sponsors pick the teams out of a hat, before touring the stadium and its museum.

In attendance were Flakt Woods, Fans Direct, Wilo UK, ABB, Swegon, Dan Ternent of TA Valves and sponsors’ customers, with Steve Swinnerton of Liverpool City Council presiding over events.

First out of the hat were Hoare Lea Caice Acoustics FC, Tim Williams of Wilo and Andy Window from Flakt Woods, who both managed to pull their own team numbers out of the traditional black draw hat.

The eight teams are below, with the groups they fall into beneath.

1 Hoare Lea Caice Acoustics FC

2 Crown House England FC


4 Flakt Woods FC

3 Sunday CIBSE Trophy

6 Couch Perry Wilkes FC

7 Crown House Scotland FC

8 Liverpool One FC

Group A:  Hoare Lea Caice Acoustics, Crown House England FC, Couch Perry Wilkes FC and Flakt Woods FC.

Group B: Wilo FC, Liverpool One FC, Crown House Scotland FC, AECOM FC.

All of the games will be played between Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st June, 2009 in Liverpool.
