Praise for ‘outstanding’ levels of safety performance across 300 UK sites
Consort Environmental Services Limited (CES), a Newbury-based national contracting company has received recognition for its high levels of safety performance from Exxon Mobil, the world’s leading fuel forecourt operator.
The Exxon 2008 Solid Performer – Contractor Recognition Programme Award was presented to CES at the Exxon Mobil Annual Safety Conference held on 25th March 2009 at the London Sheraton Heathrow Airport Hotel.
CES’s win was attributed to ‘outstanding’ levels of safety performance across the 300 UK sites that the company is contracted to undertake for Exxon.
CES also received praise for its engineers’ professional approach, zero incident rate, the quality of site safety inspections and a high level of near miss and hazard reporting.
Voting for the award took place three weeks prior to the Conference, where representatives from Exxon’s construction, maintenance and safety management teams all unanimously voted for CES.
Dan Lovell, director said: “For forecourt work, we operate a stringent training regime, procedures are clearly defined and strictly adhered to by all, under close supervision and controls on the work we carry out – this ensures safety is always at the forefront of everyone’s thinking.”
