Solihull team win work with Sainsbury and M&S

A 25-year association with supermarket chain Sainsbury and Solihull-based S G Maintenance Services, is set to continue with the awarding of a new contract valued in excess of £14 million.

“We will be looking after all Sainsbury stores from the north east of England to the Midlands,” said S G Maintenance Services managing director Terry Smith, “this includes Bells and Jackson stores as well as J Sainsbury convenience stores.

“The work will also include food refrigeration, whereas before we only looked after M&E and heating and ventilating.”

And keeping the High Street connection alive, M&S has just awarded S G Maintenance Services an additional contract to maintain refrigeration in around 70 of its stores in an area stretching from Peterborough to Milton Keynes and another in an area covering Suffolk, Norfolk and Essex.

As S G Maintenance Services already looks after heating, ventilating and air conditioning for M & S, this will bring the total value of work to over £1 million a year.
