The external structure of the 2012 Olympic Stadium has been completed news images released by the Olympic Delivery Authority revealed today.
These latest images show the final truss being lifted into place.
The roof structure, which will support the fabric roof, and the black steel rakers, which act as the terracing supports for the upper tier 55,000 seats, will form the outer shell of the Olympic Stadium,
Completion comes just 14 months after construction started on the flagship venue.
Sir Robert McAlpine is main contractor on the stadium.
