John Dowsett named as Osborne’s new infrastructure MD

John Dowsett has been appointed as Osborne’s new managing director for infrastructure.

Mr Dowsett was handed the role today after successfully heading Osborne’s One Team Wessex £250m railway project.

He joined Osborne after graduating as a civil engineer in 1996, and has since worked across a number of the company’s rail and highways infrastructure projects.

His highest profile position so far saw him become the managing director of the Osborne and Network Rail framework partnership, One Team Wessex, which has just completed its first year of work.

Osborne was selected in 2013 for the five-year project which is expected to see it deliver new rail lines across the rail company’s Wessex route, in collaboration with Network Rail.

Commenting on the appointment, Osborne chief executive Andy Steele said: “I am delighted that John will be leading our Infrastructure business.

“He has a wealth of knowledge and skills which will continue to develop our work in the Infrastructure markets and further strengthen relationships with our customers. His appointment is a true testament to our commitment to developing our own talent and promoting people from within Osborne.”
