VIDEO: A timeline of delays at the Hinkley Point C power station in Somerset

Following its approval, we take a brief look at some of the project’s past delays.

From EDF’s declaration in 2007 that Hinkley would be up and running by Christmas 2017, to the departure of EDF finance director Thomas Piquemal in March 2016 due to concerns over funding, delays had hampered the Somerset nuclear plant until the UK government gave it the green light in September 2016.
