Maintenance specialist Homeserve said it expects profits to be ahead of last year at the end of the six months to 30 September.
The firm, which sells insurance policies against the need for emergency repairs and then carries out maintenance and repair work itself, has increased its customer number so far in the first half of its financial year.
The firm said it is on track to achieve growth in its customer numbers of 3-4 per cent for the full year.
The statement said: “We expect profits for the first half of the year to be ahead of the same period last year and in line with our expectations. Our outlook for the full year remains unchanged, and we continue to look forward to delivering another year of strong growth and we remain on track to achieve our full year 3-4 per cent customer growth target.”
Homeserve has businesses in France and Spain and today announced a move into the Italian market, in partnership with Italy’s energy provider, Enel.
The ful results release for the half year to 30 September is expected to be released on 23 November.
