Kier announces £250m United Utilities contract extension

Kier today announced an extension of a water framework contract with United Utilities until 2015 worth £250 million.

Kier Construction as part of the KMI Plus joint venture, which also includes Murphy Group, Interserve Project Services and Mouchel, has been awarded a £250 million contract extension for its Non Infrastructure Capital Delivery framework with United Utilities.

The original AMP4 framework agreement, awarded in 2005, came with the potential to be extended for AMP5 subject to performance.

This extends KMI’s association with United Utilities throughout AMP5 to March 2015.

The relationship was originally established in 2002 during AMP3 and was retained after tender in AMP4 (2005 to 2010) where it has delivered £230 million and £400 million of new build, maintenance and refurbishment work respectively.
