Bam wins £24m Birmingham Indoor Arena refurb contract

Bam Construct has been awarded a £24m contract by the Birmingham National Exhibition Centre to refurbish the National Indoor Arena.

The NEC Group said “an opportunity exists to upgrade the public areas at the National Indoor Arena – improving both the customer experience and the opportunity to earn additional revenues”.

The four-floor NIA Birmingham project contains an optional replacement and installation of the fixed, retractable and floor seating within the bowl of the Arena.

Bam’s win was based 34 per cent on delivery and methodology, 22 per cent on their programme, 12 per cent on technical attributes and 32 per cent on Bam’s commercial proposal.
