English Cities Fund chooses Bowmer & Kirkland for One New Bailey scheme

Bowmer & Kirkland has been appointed to build One New Bailey, a 125,000 sq ft office development in Greater Manchester.

English Cities Fund chose the contractor to deliver the eight-story building, which will be situated on the banks of River Irwell.

The Ralli Courts building, which formerly occupied the One New Bailey site has now been demolished and work started on 20 October 2014.

The building will include space on the ground floor for cafes, bars and restaurants, as well as a new public square.

ECf is a joint venture between Muse Developments, Legal and General and the Homes and Communities Agency.

L&G has funded the project.

One New Bailey marks the next phase of ECf’s £650m New Bailey regeneration in Salford.

The regeneration includes a 615 multi-storey car park currently under construction and a 143-bed Premier Inn, which was also constructed by B&K and finished in September.
