Cucumber tower plans unveiled

A joint venture between the Reuben Brothers and the Jarvis family have unveiled plans for a 460ft tower, nicknamed the ‘Cucumber’, set to be the tallest tower in Westminster.

Revised plans for the proposed tower - officially known as 1 Merchant Square - will be submitted this week. It will include will include 222 flats, a 90-room boutique hotel and a public roof bar.

The tower will be the monument of Merchant Square which is made up of residential, office and retail space, part of the Paddington Basin.

Merchant Square is being developed by European Land, a joint venture between Reuben Brothers and the Jarvis family
