Seddon jv plans £100m Oldham business park

A joint venture between Seddon and Grasscroft Property Group has submitted plans to Oldham Council for a £100m mixed-use business park.

The scheme will see new warehouse, manufacturing and office space as well as up to 500 family homes.

The 49-hectare site at Chadderton, on the western side of Oldham, would see 700,000 sq ft in logistics, industrial and office space.

Over 20 acres of new public open space would also be created.

Oldham Council has earmarked the site for residential and employment development.

The construction phase is expected to provide 165 jobs annually, along with 1,500 in full-time jobs after completion.

Jones Lang LaSalle, WHR, HOW Planning, 5 Architects and Curtins Consulting advised the JV on the scheme.
