McLaren wins £37m TJ Morris scheme

McLaren Construction has bagged a £37m contract to design and build a distribution centre for retailer TJ Morris.

The development will be located in Amesbury in Wiltshire and will cover 41.3 acres, including the delivery of a three storey main office, a transport office, a ‘goods in office’, a vehicle maintenance unit and a training centre.

Works are scheduled to finish in October 2014.

AJA Architects was chosen to design the centre.

In December last year McLaren Construction was appointed to build a £37m mixed-use student accommodation in Shoreditch, London.

It also scooped three contracts in November 2013 worth around £50m in Essex, London and Southampton, including its first contract with Grosvenor.
