Russells Construction wins £4m retail contract

Russells Construction has secured a £4 million contract to build four high specification units for a new retail park in Anlaby, Hull.

The Trafford Park-based construction company will deliver the four new-build units, totalling more than 70,000 sq ft by September this year. Each of the units is to be steel frame construction and will include a natural rain screen system and glazed signage boxes. Customer parking, external paving, landscaping and the creation of an pond are included in the scheme.

The contract marks a strong start to the year for Russells Construction which recently started work on a new 17,000 sq ft Aldi store in Heywood, Lancashire.

Andrew Russell, managing director of Russells Construction said: “While there are certainly challenges ahead for the construction industry as a whole, this is an exciting time for Russells Construction… We have had a very good start to the year with the signing of two major contracts which gives us, and our customers, confidence for the year ahead. “
