Highways England is gearing up to place a £3.3bn pavement works framework on the market.
The client body issued an official notice that it would be formally putting the four-year deal in OJEU later this month.
Places will be up for grabs on 12 regional lots. Winning bidders will be required to carry out bituminous and concrete patching, surfacing and pavement construction.
The framework will be divided across six regions:
- North-east – Highways England network Areas 12 and 14
- North-west – Areas 10 and 13
- Midlands – Areas 7 and 9
- East – Areas 6 and 8
- South-east – Areas 3 and 4 as well as the M25 DBFO
- South-west – Areas 1 and 2
Each region includes two sub-lots divided by project value. Bidders will be able to win a maximum of five lots.
Earlier this year Highways England awarded 18 companies a place on a framework to carry out upgrade and maintenance work on strategic roads in Cumbria, North Lancashire and the North-east.
