Flythrough: Drone's-eye footage shows advanced road progress in Scotland

Drone footage from Transport Scotland has revealed the progress made on a 5-km section of the new M8 between Shawhead Junction and Baillieston Interchange.

Three lanes are being constructed, travelling in each direction, in addition to the two existing lanes, helping to ease congestion and separate those travelling between Edinburgh and Glasgow on the new M8 Motorway, and those using the local A8 stretch of road.

Back in 2013, Construction News reported on the joint venture of Ferrovial Agroman and Lagan Construction Group as they were selected for Transport Scotland’s bundled roads programme, worth £415m.
