Miller invites sub contractors to win work on £80m police PFI

Miller is inviting sub contractors to its final open day on how to become involved in its £80 million Avon and Somerset Police Accommodation PFI Project.

Subcontractors with experience on medium to large sized projects are invited by the Blue Light Partnership consortium to attend on Wednesday (11 July).

Miller and partners Cofley said they have already held three successful open days.

Kevin Dickson, of Miller Construction, said: “This is our final Meet the Buyer event and we are pleased to welcome local subcontractors, who have an interest in working with us on the Avon and Somerset PFI Project, to meet with us and find out more about the four contracts within this project.”

The contract win was first revealed by CN in January. The overall private finance initiative scheme is worth £129m.

The event is at Fry Club & Conference Centre, Somerdale, Keynsham, Bristol BS31 2AU.  Interested parties can email to register their details.


The Avon and Somerset Police Accommodation PFI Project includes:
Somerset’s Operations Base which will be home to a Custody and Crime Investigation Centre, Specialist Operations and an Enquiry Office
A Custody and Crime Investigation Centre and Police Station in Patchway
A Custody and Crime Investigation Centre in Keynsham
A Tri-force Indoor Firearms Training Centre for Avon and Somerset, Wiltshire and Gloucestershire police forces, near Portishead.
