The work has been split between the two contractors, with Morrison working on the northern part of the park and Nuttall on the southern half, Halcrow are believed to be acting as consultant for Nuttall.
When work begins both teams must demolish any structures currently inhabiting the 202ha brownfield site.
They will then be responsible for remediating the land, to provide suitable ground conditions before main construction works can kick off in summer 2008.
Due to the heavily contaminated nature of the post-industrial site, much of the remediation work will be done by specialist contractors, who are yet to be appointed by the LDA. These companies will then feed into the main contractors' teams.
The LDA refused to comment on appointments as it claimed the tender process was still ongoing.
