Housing association Family Mosaic has named 17 contractors on a £600m framework.
Contractors including Bouygues, Galliford Try, Wates and Willmott Dixon have been appointed under the deal.
They will deliver around 1,000 homes for rent, shared ownership and private sale across Greater London and Essex over four years.
The value of the construction programme is estimated at £740m, with approximately 30 per cent of this being delivered through section 106 agreements alongside other developers, leaving a balance of around £518m for directly procured construction works.
The final total value of the contract is £600m, to allow scope for the possibility of registered providers and local authorities who may wish to sign up to the framework.
Family Mosaic has received funding from Greater London Authority and the Homes and Communities Agency as part of the government’s £2.9bn Affordable Housing Programmes 2015-18.
The housing association procured on behalf of Old Oak Housing Association, Charlton Triangle Homes, Family Mosaic Home Ownership and local authorities and registered providers in Greater London and Essex who may wish to develop in the area.
The framework has been split into 17 equal lots, each with a value of more than £35m.
This is the latest in the pipeline of housing deals in Greater London and Essex, following the £40m Hackney estate regeneration contract scooped by Higgins Construction.
Higgins will build 110 new homes, 70 of which will be for social rent and shared ownership, with around 40 homes for sale. A total of 129 sq m of retail space will also be provided.
