Balfour Beatty Engineering Services wins £14m of education work

Balfour Beatty Engineering Services has won £14 million worth of mechanical and electrical sub contracts in the education sector.

It has won a £4.2m contract to design, supply and install the mechanical and electrical services for Priory Witham Academy as part of the Lincolnshire Priory Federation of Academies scheme for Lincolnshire County Council.

Work is scheduled for completion in the summer of 2011.

The contractor has also won a £5m contract with Kier to provide mechanical, electrical and plumbing services for the new Richard Rose Central Academy in Carlisle, which will accommodate around 1,500 students.

Work is due to start imminently and is scheduled for completion in Spring 2011.

The company has also been awarded a £4.7m contract for full mechanical and electrical services for the West Derby & Ernest Cookson School under the Liverpool Building Schools for the Future project.

The contract is scheduled for completion in summer 2010.
