Balfour Beatty JV wins £120m Hong Kong job

Balfour Beatty’s South East Asian joint venture company Gammon Construction South East Asia, has won a £120 million redevelopment contract in Hong Kong with developer Hysan.

Gammon will build a 36-storey mixed retail and office development featuring a four-level car park and retail basement on the Hennessy Centre site in the Causeway Bay district of Hong Kong.

Completion is scheduled for 2011.

Gammon Construction is a 50/50 joint venture between Balfour Beatty and Asian trading and manufacturing group Jardine Matheson.
