Bath Uni appoints Vinci to £20m research building

Vinci Construction UK has been awarded a £20m deal to build the University of Bath’s £20m new academic research and teaching building.

The research and teaching building will be located on the western end of its Claverton Down Campus and will feature a conference suite linked to a glass atrium.

Work will completed on the project by Q1 2016.

Last year, Vinci completed the Chancellor’s Building for the University.

Vice-chancellor professor Dame Glynis Breakwell said: “This will further enhance our teaching, which was rated as the best in the UK for student satisfaction in the recent national student survey, and help us to grow our international reputation for research excellence.”

The University has secured £150m investment to upgrade their facilities.
