Bids invited for £34m Sheffield uni job

The University of Sheffield is inviting bids for the £34 million revamp of its entrance, which will be turned into a glazed atrium.

The build will also include a new roof structure that includes walkways to link the student union building with University House.

Work is due to start on site in November with completion set for August 2010.

Up to five contractors will be shortlisted for the work and interested parties have until 8 April to submit bids.
