Bids invited for £75m M25 framework

A four-year, £75m deal to make improvements to the M25, including a major scheme at the Dartford Crossing, has opened for bids.

Balfour Beatty, Skanska, Atkins and Egis Road Operation UK were appointed in 2009 under the Connect Plus consortium to manage the M25 and its key arterial link roads and will procure the contract on behalf of the Highways Agency.

The M25 Motorway Network Improvement Works Framework will comprise works associated with improvement schemes on the M25 and associated motorways and major roads including a major scheme at the Dartford Crossing

A minimum of six contractors will be invited to tender for the scheme with a time limit of 31 October at 12pm.
