Birse Civils wins £10.5m contract

Balfour Beatty subsidiary Birse Civils has won a £10.5 million flood alleviation contract in North Lincolnshire.

The firm will strengthen 750m of sheet piled river wall in Gainsborough between now and 2010.

The Environment Agency-project also involves the installation of low level anchors to be carried out between tides as well as the installation of structural waling beams.
